CarGurus' 2004 Cadillac Escalade ESV Review

2004 marked the introduction of a second trim called the Platinum Edition, a more luxurious version of the Escalade ESV.  This special trim offers a spruced-up interior and nice standard features such as sunroof and navigation system.  Other new features for the Cadillac Escalade ESV include XM radio and bucket seats in the second row.

Both trims use a 6.0 L, 345 hp V8 engine with 4 speed automatic transmission.  Expect to get 13 mpg in the city and 17 on the highway.  In addition, both the ESV and ESV Platinum Edition give you 45.7 cubic feet of cargo space with all seats up and can tow 7500 lbs. on average.  With 4 doors and room for 7-8 passengers, the Escalade ESV enables you to cruise the streets with your entourage in tow.

Overall, drivers like the comfort, top-notch towing capacity, and style.  However, prepare to make frequent trips to the gas station for refills and make sure you take a deep breath before you thread this super-sized SUV through tight spaces.    The 2004 Cadillac Escalade ESV continues a strong tradition of style and power that few SUV's can match.
