Why does my battery display on my dash along with the words brake flashing at the same time?

It makes a dinging sound, then all gauges go to zero. Then on the dash the words" brake" & "anti-lock" flash. After awhile of continuous doing this then the words "security" and "service vehicle soon" flash. In addition, the headlights go off and on as the same time as the dinging sound and the words
brake" and "anti lock" appear in red.
