Gas pedal and throttle do not communicate. Car starts but will not accellerate padt 10 mph. Any suggestions.

Throttle position sensor perhaps? Drive by wire or not drive by wire. Anyway would scan for codes but that is where I would have a look. Other ideas are a gummed up throttle body.
