2019 Ford Escape check engine light

Asked by Guru6LNNG Mar 20, 2020 at 08:50 AM about the 2019 Ford Escape SE FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2019 Ford Escape check engine light came on, the next day I took it to the
dealer and was told the engine needs to be replaced.  Car was driving fine.
What error or problem would cause a car with just under 16,000 miles to have
its engine replaced?

My 2017 light came on. Ford diagnostic said that anti freeze was leaking into one of the cylinders. Engine needs to be replaced at Ford expense. If your antifreeze is low, could be the same thing.
