Question bout my 01 eclipse GT

I have a 01 eclipse GT with 157xxx miles on it been having
issues on can't member if it's 2nd or 3rd gear bt it's my rpm
will rev up kinda hard then after that stop I ask some one
work n they told me sounds like ur trans is slipping n they
said I'd get ur trans rebuild or should I get used one l?
