Mine did something similar, but not exactly. I did give a code eventually, misfire on #2 cyl. I replaced the fuel injector (rock auto) and now it works great. The injectors are a weak spot in the engine. The 3 in the rear are tough to get at, front ones easy. Get a code! Then you know what cylinder, if that's what it is.

Trippmeister, my neighbor has 99 mercury villager v6 mini van. He says it drives and then just cuts off on him. I see you indicate the issue was fuel injectors. To be certain of this as your issue, he needs live data that tells him this. My email is coontakentay@hotmail.com i suggested fuel filter & pump, or mass air flow sensor, or their may be fuel to air ratio mixture thats not right.. could be running to lean or rich..rich is fuel and lean is air..or fuel injectors not sure which ones though...please respond. Thank you.

I sent an email. Could be fuel pump, or ignition.. I don'tr think it's the injectors, they go bad one at a time.

99 might have integral coil and distributor cap. (I hate that). I'd look there. Might need a new distributor. That's assuming it's not the fuel pump.
