Mercury Mountaineer

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 Mercury Mountaineer with 109000 on it.  Very good shape.  However, about
a year ago the traction light came on (dashboard) and even the Lincoln/Mercury folks
couldn't tell me what it was or how to turn it off.  Everytime car starts i have to clear the
"check avtrac" light.  However, the avtrac button on center console appears to work.  Any
ideas?

Agree, probably a wheel sensor. By the way, I would change dealers if they could not resolve this in a few minutes.

Good Afternoon I have a 2002 mercury mountaineer, this car sat in a driveway for 1yr 1/2. Cost me $3300.00 to get it running again. Now, the O/D LIGHT keep blinking? Do anyone know why and how much it cost to fix it?
