I JUST PUT A NEW ALTERNATOR AND NEW BATTERY IN MY MERCURY MARINER 4 WHEEL DRIVE SUV AND MY BATTERY WAS TOTALY DEAD THIS MORNING

did you leave something on ? Was that why you replaced the batt. and alt . because the batt. was going dead ? Sounds like you have a parasitic drain , do a search on that , the new batt. should charge back up might take a few hours .
