Hi i have a 98 Mazda 626 4 cylinder and i want to know if i can swap motors for a v6 and if it will work.

i can't seem to find a 4 cylinder motor within 100 miles. the guy who's working on it needs
a motor but all we can find are v6.

You will have to switch out the ECU as well. And probably other electronic devices that go to the V6. It's not like the old days when you could just swap out engine's.
