my check engine light keeps coming on after like 3 or 4 days after resetting like when i start up in the mornings what could it be
the check engine like keeps coming back on after like 3 days of driving. always when i start up the morning of the 3rd or 4th day. i see that it is a small opening on the plate beisdes the engine where u put the oil in. dont know if that could be or if it cause its got so many miles i need to know something.
If the CEl keeps coming back on after you clear it, you have a fault code/codes stored in memory. No use guessing what the issue is. Have the car scanned for fault codes and post back what they are and we can help further.
...OR...take it to a profesional technician who does not guess and who uses the DTC's and other diagnostic information to determine the actual root cause of the trouble code...usually you save money over other options in the long run.
not sure if you have done this yet,but try to clean around the fuel filler cap and filler pipe edge,sometimes it is a dirty seal or the gas cap has gone bad and you only need to replace it,it has worked for me a few times.
