2018 VW Jetta SE radio issues

This is what displays on my 2018
Jetta SE. This also displayed on my
2017 Tiguan s. They claim it's a
defect. They just ordered me a new
radio since mine goes out from time to
time and flashes and blinks even when
you're not in the vehicle?
