1998 Ford Explorer Sport with 4.0 SOHC stalls completely but ONLY on left hand turns. Feathering the throttle will sometimes prevent the problem.  Ford techs were no help at all.
As a last resort, after trying almost everything else we replaced the ECM. Vehicle was in minor collision with energy from crash delivered to right front of the vehicle. My next step is to pull the fuel tank and evaluate fuel pump status.  This is driving us crazy.   Any ideas????

"Ford techs were no help at all." How many times have these words been uttered?

its not easy to diag something over the computer sometimes, beleive it or not, one of the things ive seen that can cause this concern with fuel injection is water in fuel, due to the weight difference of fuel and water,as you make turns the water and fuel will seperate and will get more water thru injectors than fuel, this is not uncommon

Sorry, I just cannot resist. Mythbusters had an episode where they went from destination to destination making only right hand turns. Although a little further drive, it actually saved time. In the meantime,................................
