Dashboard idiot light

Question type: General

On the dashboard where is shows "P" or "R" or "D" depending on what gear
the car is in, a small orange box with a small "I" appears. It will not go away. I
have looked in the manual and cannot find what this means.

I believe that light isn't a letter "I", but an exclamation point. Get the car to a mechanic now.
