I am in Spain with my ford Escort it has been parked in a garage for over two years When put on a new battery it will not start I see no diesel pressure at the injectors and have been told it may be an imobiliser problem. can anyone help I am miles from any mechanics

Did the car run OK when parked? probably a fuel problem- leaving diesel in a tank for 2 years can cause many problems with the fuel system- having said that, make sure the glow plugs are working- you may have to bite the bullet and have it towed to a garage-

yes it was running fine, I have cleaned the fuel tank and pumped new fuel but no pressure at the injectors, someone said it may have forgoten the chip in the key and so the imobilliser is in operation ???
