Can a good battery get a bad alternator home

02 Kia alternators bad but is it required to operate
car? Will a good battery make it 50 miles to the
garage?

Maybe. Don't run the radio, fan, lights or anything else. Take along your walking shoes!

50 miles is a very long travel on batteries with 12V, you may look for break down to help you
