1978 250 to a 1965 283

Asked by GuruCR2BS Mar 04, 2019 at 01:53 PM about the 1978 Chevrolet C/K 10 Custom Deluxe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I’ve pulled my straight 6 out of my 1978 and
have a 283 out of a 65 Chevy. The mounts
are inverted on the 283 so what do I need to
do to put the 283 in my 78? Buy new mounts
or just the ones I have to the frame?

1 Answer

Probably all you need to do is buy small block motor mounts for your year truck. Keep the receipt in case you need to return them.
