what would make this car not accelerate?

after pulling this 40 amp fuse while car was running, it doesn't want to
accelerate now and also the engine light is on! what have I done!! LOL

Why would you pull a fuse on a running vehicle ? Like many things in todays world modern cars can't handle adversity . Those cars are disposable P.O.S.

You caused a power feedback, one customer of mine did something similar and back then it cost him over 1500 bucks to get it running right. You Do Not disconnect anything electrical with it running, if your lucky it might just need a reflash, if not then be prepared for something expensive.
