i have a 1999 mustang 3.8 auto trans,the trans started having a hard time shifting out of first but is fine once it kicks in,someone said it could be a vacuum leak,is this a possibility

the fluid is full am going to have the filter and fluid changed tomorrow,thought it could be a vacuum.thanks for the help.
