Dead battery in subaru outback when it sits for more than 24 hours.  At
dealership the battery tests out ok.

Classic Subaru el cheapo battery problem. Buy a quality battery like Optima or Interstate with the highest capacity you can fit in the car.

Yup. Big Interstate at COSTCO for $80 is a winner. I have to put one in half the 2016-2018 Subies I buy.

Check out this post: https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/Discussion-c23420_ds987294 Have similar issue with my 2017 legacy. If new testers tell u the battery is good, then it is definitely good. Don't be listening to people tell u your battery is cheap. The cheapest battery should last u at least from winter to winter. I have done some testing myself and found one of the problems. Under the hood there is a 7.5A fuse (DCM) that when unplugged it stops draining the battery. See the attached.
