Why is the pony on the grill sometimes in the middle and on others it is on the driver side?

Question type: General

This is for the 2015 - 17 models and possibly the Ecoboost only.

I thought it might have something to do with the particular model or option package. The crew on the assembly line must have some direction from one to another model. Even the same models have them in different places.

I did some research and asked the right people - American Muscle. Now I know. In my model (2017 EcoBoost), the pony is on the driver's side of the grill because the car has the optional Pony Package and that is part of it. That closes this question unless it is different for other years.
