Scratches on harmonic balancer

Okay so I was replacing the harmonic
balancer and before I installed the new
one I noticed a scratch on that so I looked
at the crankshaft and noticed there's a
scratch and what look like some sort of
spring what is it what do I do and how do I
fix it and I've never had any issues with
this motor at all
