Truck sputters when accelerating.

Asked by afmom2010 Nov 04, 2016 at 07:12 AM about the 1997 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado Extended Cab LB RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced Distributor, plugs/wires, ignition module, coil, crank shaft sensor,
cam shaft sensor, and cut the exhaust off to test. The truck is still sputtering
when accelerating and the mechanic has no clue what the problem could be.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have a buick lesabre and the same type of stuff was happening, but my car was cutting off as well. I fixed all the same things you did too. My mechanic just took it to the dealership and after a couple of days trying to figure out what is was they told me it was a bad Mass Air Flow Sensor and connector. Not sure if that is it or not, feel like I have wasted a lot of money replacing things that were not the problem.
