Coolant leak

Asked by Roberto Feb 05, 2019 at 09:41 PM about the 1998 Chevrolet C/K 1500 Silverado 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 98 k1500 5.7 is leaking coolant. It's not the radiator,
water pump, or freeze plugs. I've heard that it can be a
blown head gasket. It runs well and hasn't overheated. Just
worried to find coolant on the driveway every once in a
while. Has anyone dealt with anything similar?

If the head gaskets are leaking coolant into the engine you will have lots of white exhaust smoke. You have puddles of coolant which means a leak. You are going to have to look until you find it.

Thanks for answering. I tried to find the leak but couldn't find it. But I did notice very little smoke coming out of exhaust. Gonna take it to a mechanic tomorrow.
