How do you test if fuel is delivered?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Purchased vehicle which was stored some months. Fuel gauge indicate 1/3 however
not sure if gauge is correct, engine cranks but fails to start. It's possible no gas
therefore want to determine if fuel is being delivered.

How long has it been sitting? It's possible that the fuel has turned to varnish. You might just have to drop the tank and get it professionally cleaned along with the fuel lines.

Even if there is fuel pressure in the rail the injectors are probably clogged, not to mention water in the tank. Get a helper and spray some starting fluid, ether, in to intake while cranking..you can take filter out or spray right through it. If it runs for s few seconds, you are not getting fuel to or past injectors.
