Rattling coming from front of truck

Asked by Cynthia Jul 10, 2018 at 09:49 AM about the 2005 GMC Sierra 2500 4 Dr SLE 4WD Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My truck is making a loud rattle while idling. It sounds like
something is loose but, I've checked and can't find anything
that needs tightening. If i rev to 3000 rpm it stops briefly
but, starts back up again within a few moments.

Pulley? Engine or tranny mount? Heat shield? Body mount bushing? Head light bezel? Battery/battery tray? No easy answer, just got to check everything.
