Weak cranker! Seriously. Charge the jumper and/or clean the battery connections. I keep two jumpers in rotation, letting them sit on a started Subaru awhile to fully recharge. If battery won't hold a charge after running awhile on the highway you need a new one. But before buying one just check the voltage at idle. If under 13.5v your old alternator has a bad internal voltage regulator (common), and needs to be replaced. Used ones or rebuilds are cheap. Ern TSG/B

I guess your having trouble understanding my English. I use the Subaru running ALTERNATORS to charge the jumpers. Do you really think I run around with jumper cables on my Subies??
