Check engine code 2096

Asked by Edmund_Ford2008 Jul 03, 2019 at 11:47 AM about the 2008 Hyundai Accent GL 2-Door Hatchback FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 Hyundai Accent with the check engine light
on. It comes up to code 2096 (post catalytic converter fuel
mixture too lean.) I have tried everything myself and my
mechanic can think of: changing oxygen sensors, checking
for exhaust leaks, even changing the catalytic
converter/exhaust manifold assembly.  Still the light stays
on! Any suggestions?

Thank you! Didn't know that it was possible to burn in a code. Given how many times the check engine light has come on, (first started at odom. 6000 miles!) that could be the answer.
