My 1998 honda accord is smoking out the back..3days ago my husband added a quart or two of oil and forgot to put cap back on...causing my car to smoke from the hood..now today smoke from the back

What color is the smoke? How often does your husband add a quart or 2 of oil? I suspect the color is blue/grey and your burning the oil. Valve seals and or bad rings will cause this problem. Time to put some money into the engine or look for another.

It was white smoke..my dad ckd oil level and said there's too much oil in it. Car sat parked for a few hours then he started it up. He let it run awhile..then drove it...not smoking now. I don't know why its not smoking now
