Problems with 2016 Honda Odyssey

Asked by GuruSBP8G Jun 03, 2019 at 12:04 PM about the 2016 Honda Odyssey EX-L FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We purchased a Honda certified 2016 Odyssey with 30,000 miles on Friday.
Already the headlights wouldn't work and the driver side door seal came off.
They are going to fix both but is this normal for a 2016 or does it indicate a
bigger problem? Basically, how big of a fit should I pitch?

They are going to come get it, leave a loaner, fix everything and bring it back. They offered to take it back but my husband didnt want to do that. They said they were going to go over every inch of it (which they supposedly already did).

So I went out and checked. The passenger side seal is also coming off and the trunk. Does this indicate a bigger issue... like the car being exposed to extreme heat or did they just screw up at the factory?

We were able to return it. We took it to a body shop and he found poorly repaired damage that makes it not qualify to be considered honda certified. After we showed them those issues they gave us zero drama and wrote a check for our tradein value (it had already sold). Thank you so much for your help! You saved us from a huge mistake!
