2016 mustang ecoboost engine revs then stalls

Asked by Doug Oct 06, 2022 at 02:26 PM about the 2016 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2016 mustang has been so stable until recently an intermittent issue ...
once a week or so, while driving all of a sudden, there is a loud rev sound in
rear driver side then after a few seconds the car stalls.  No warning lights, just
the car now is in accessory mode.  When I pull over then turn car back on, in
most cases, it functions perfectly fine for next few days.  I took it to Ford
dealer but the could not replicate so couldn't search the code.  It is a great car
but not safe to drive if it intermittently turns off.  I will try a consumer code
reader but ... anyone experience this and found a solution?

I took matters into my own hands, bought a Foxwell code reader and drove until the issue occurred again. I will take into Ford this week to see if this can be resolved. The codes I got wereP144A Evap system purge vapor line restricted/blocked and P0132 O2 sensor circuit low voltage bank. I will post here too when this is fully resolved. Anyone else with this issue?
