2001 Ford Mustang

I have a 2001 Ford Mustang V6. I drove it this morning and stopped at the
gas station. Filled up got in to start the car up and it was dead, and I mean
dead! Caught me by surprise appeared to be the battery but battery is only
approx. 1 yr. old. It took two separate vehicles and several tries to get the car
to start from a jump. It finally jumped went straight home, was heading to
Auto Zone to have battery checked and it suddenly started to shut off again
when I turned on the ac. Took it straight home pulled in driveway, turned on
my AC and it once more died completely. Its as if the AC has a short or
something similiar and immediately kills the car. Any information, highly
appreciated.

So after you got it jump started, did you have Autozone test the battery or did you go straight home? I suspect you have a shorted cell in the battery. Remove it from the car and take it over to Autozone so they can test it.

Went straight home that's when I tested out the situation by turning on the AC and when I did the battery went dead, so I know it has something to do with the AC. Can't get the battery tested until I have a way to get to AutoZone. Why would the ac tricker a shorted cell. Hope it's that simple.

if a battery is low ( not fully charged) the alternator will work overtime beyond 14.5 amps and can burn the internal voltage regulator inside. sounds like it is not charged or you have a short in the ac compressor .
