2015 JEEP Grand Cherokee Power Drain overnight

Asked by Rhorne78 Jun 26, 2018 at 04:15 PM about the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee that is suffering from
a frustrating electrical problem. Woke up a few weeks
back and Jeep wouldn’t start. Couldn’t get it jumped with
a car nor an emergency jumper. Had it towed in to the
shop and they claimed a bad alternator and battery. Jeep
was just out of warranty so paid a ton. 3 weeks later, Jeep
won’t start again. Had it towed again and they say that
their is something draining the power down while the car
is off. Must be a huge power draw to kill a new battery.
The shop has spent a few days trying to figure out where
the draw is coming from with no luck. Can anyone help?

Hook up your meter and start pulling fuses. When the right fuse is pulled and your meter shows your draw went away, that's the circuit you need to trace down.

My Jeep wrangler unlimited had that problem , It was the blend door actuator. Mine was garaged and I could constantly hear it opening and closing through out the night, subsequently It drained the battery.
