Cam selection help

I have a 1989 Chevrolet v2500 5.7 350 tbi will have
a 700r4 soon from monster transmission. i dont
know any specs on engine, i would like to get the
comp cams extreme energy 4x4 cam, nothing
aggressive or anything i need to change engine
specs for, i dont know what size and spec cam to
get. I will be rebuilding the engine and want to have
the right cam, mainly for the sound. I do a little
offroading and no towing. I like the sound. Would i
need to change lifters and heads? Please help
