Jeep will not start

Asked by Beth Jul 10, 2018 at 01:12 PM about the 1988 Jeep Cherokee 4 Dr Laredo 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1988 jeep Cherokee Laredo. I have replaced my lifters (because they
were ticking), coil, starter, starter solenoid, distributor, distributor cap and rotor,
battery, fuel pump. I have checked my grounds. It has compression, fuel, and
spark (although week). I took it to a mechanic and they  are confused too. I am
running out of options I have no idea what is wrong with this jeep.

I have checked the catalytic converter and muffler and they are fine. I just put a new ECU on it remanufactured from Napa and now I have no crank.
