What is the little cigarette size thing on the center drink holder just in front of the gear shift

2014 Nissan Cube sl....any one know what this is?  says PWR Hold to cycle
push...has a gear symbol in the center

The Cube comes with (sometimes) interior accent lighting, that knob increases brightness and (sometimes) changes the color. Its possible yours isnt equipped, but mess with it at night and see. Likely under dash, around speakers, under seats.
