Idle sensor

Asked by Pearline Jul 15, 2018 at 06:10 PM about the 2006 Nissan Cube

Question type: General

Where is the idle sensor located in a Nissan cube ?

42,870

The idle sensor is an electromagnetic device mounted somewhere on the engine that reads the rpms by how fast a rotating magnet passes a certain point. Something like a camshaft sensor. Might even be the same gadget. It tells the computer so the idle speed can be controlled. Probably sends the same signal to your tachometer.
