2014 Volkswagen Jetta 1.8L Turbo Charged Coolant Lean

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a major coolant leak coming from 2 spots
under my car. I can see 1 leak from the top
squirting from somewhere under in between the
engine and the under hood. It leaks onto the under
hood and pours off that. The 2nd in coming from
about 6in to 10in under the car past the under
hood. I take care on it very well and it has about
110,000 miles on it also. Stop leaks worked at 1st
but no longer do. Maybe slow it down for a week
but that's it. I was thinking of using some flex seal
to put over the leaks once I can find them. I am not
a car guy so therefore I am clueless. Where are
possibilities of where it could be coming from and
how to fix during a financial hardship epidemic
time like now?

Don't use stop leak, that is only temporary. at 110K, you are due for new coolant parts. Most probably your water pump which usually leaks around 60K and check the hoses. If you are clueless and not a car guy, I suggest you take it into the garage and have a mechanic make the repairs. You don't need to take it to a dealer. Sorry there is no simple fix that is free. Owning a car costs money. Maybe carpool or uber in the meantime?

Not fixing the leaks will not save you money. Saving a hundred bucks on the repair is nothing compared to 5 grand for a new motor.
