Blower Motor Replacement

I'll leave this question up in case anyone else has the same issue, but I fixed it. The blower motor is located in the passenger side foot compartment. As you sit in the seat it is behind the plastic sheet you can tap with your left foot (which would be the lower part of the dash/radio-vent controls). The cabin air filter (CAF) is down there as well, if you haven't replaced it for a few years I would recommend it. Cheap and made a big difference. The one I picked up was only 16.99. Anyway, the blower motor is located behind and slightly above the CAF. Disconnecting is simple. Three screws, and three wires to disconnect. (Leave the resistor on the blower motor! It has a copper coil and two screws, don't waste your time trying to take it off if you plan to take the blower motor out anyway.) This being my first time, having little to no guidance it took me about an hour to swap the CAF, put the resistor on the new blower motor, and install. It cost roughly $90 in all, when it could cost anywhere from $250-$300 to get it done at a shop. Hope this helps people in the future!

Did anyone ever report the issue to Jeep or National Highway Traffic Safety Administration? If so many of us are having this issue shouldn’t it be reported to consider a recall?

Mine has been out for almost a year. In addition to this, the Shifter Service light keeps coming on and Jeep is aware of it and says the shifter module needs to be replaced. WTF? They should not even send them out with faulty modules like that, especially if they know about it.
