Disabling Transport Mode: Transport Mode is a relatively new feature that reduces the electrical load on the battery when the vehicle is parked, which prolongs the battery stand time. When Transport Mode is enabled, the red battery indicator light on the instrument cluster will be flashing and the Driver Information Center (if equipped) will display a Transport Mode On message. When Transport Mode is on and the vehicle is not running, the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter (key fob) is disabled and the content theft deterrent and exit lighting timers are reduced. When Transport Mode is on and the vehicle is running, there is no difference in operation. To turn the Transport Mode On/Off: 1. Start the engine 2. Activate the hazard flashers 3. Press the brake pedal 4. Press and hold the Start/Stop button (if equipped) or turn the ignition key to the crank position for 15 seconds
