87' Ford Ranger, nothing electrical work and wont start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The truck brake lights were not working. So i changed the fuse because it
was burned out. It worked great but after double checking i notice the brake
lights would not turn on. I checked the fuse again and it was burned out. i
changed it about 4 times but every time i stepped on the brake it would burn
the fuse. So i searched online and saw that i could use a 30 fuse in place of
the 15 fuse. I decided to do this and the truck electrical parts (radio, lights
and what not) worked for like 5 seconds and then everything went off and the
truck would not start, it made no noise at all. Please advise ?

I think you blew another fuse or fusible link ahead of the Brake Light Fuse. That other fuse also controls, the other stuff that doesn't work now. Take the 30 Amp fuse out , of the brake lights and replace the other blown burnt ,,,, wires fusible link or ,, other stuff a fuse that burnt out. Most likely the fuse or fusible link that burn is a larger fuse, size, and is common to the , Radio, and the brake lights, ignition,
