Does the 1988 F250 XLT have electronics? We would like to find an old Ford truck that can be repaired by mechanic not a machine.

Yes, it has electronics. Any fuel injected car/truck does. To find a Ford F-250 with a carburetor and fewer electronics you have to go pre-1988. You missed it by one model year, 1987 the 4.9L inline 6 and 351W were the most popular engines with a 2bbl carb.

Thank you. Switching to the Ranger, but with the same question about a truck made with a carburetor and fewer electronics, is the last year going to be 1987 also?
