1991 Nissan D21 KA24E. Broke TC while driving. Replaced TC followed all specs in manual checked and rechecked.

Idles fine checked timing,distributor so many times that a wire broke and
replaced all. Counted 42 teeth outside to outside TC. TDC is perfect. I’m at a
loss!! I thought this would be a breeze after the 2002 4.7 Tundra TB.
When Nissan is put in gear it dies. I keep thinking the top end might be shot
but I have never tackled something like that. Need advise before I tow it to an
expert mechanic.
