Will a 87 Pathfinder steering gear fit on a 86 Nissan hardbody they're both manual and none of them are four wheel drive

I have a 86 Nissan hardbody pickup
2 wheel drive standard cab can I fit
a 87 Pathfinder steering gear on it
the Pathfinder is not 4 wheel drive
and it is manual they are both
manual

I seriously doubt you can swap 2wd steering into a 4wd or the other way around.
