My driver side power seat only advances on the inside track. Is there a part on the outside track that could be broken?

The power does not really advance the seat, it just kind of twists it.

Yes a part is broken but you need to remove the seat turn it upside down and see. could be a busted bearing on the outside or broken cross piece
