maybe- put some oil in it and try starting it- if the oil was low enough to burn your engine, an oil light should have come on or something- and next time remember, cars require maintenance- they are not Magic-

Is there an update trinacheat07? I'm experiencing the same thing with a 2015 Sonata but an oil warning never came on. The car makes clicking sounds, gauges come on, and the radio but wont start. Praying the engine isn't destroyed.

My engine oil had recently been changed, less than 3000 miles and no light ever came on and no drop in my pressure gauge. Just can't for the life of me see how this car has so many bells and whistles on it but no oil light. Nothing ever even remotely looked out of place or different. Just began having a rattling sound. Drove it in to the dealership and they said, "oh well" and sent me on my way. Never again.

My wife's 2012 sonata did this when she ran it low on oil. Took it to the dealer, and they just had to reset a sensor, and it ran fine after. Hyundai has a shut off switch that prevents the engine from being damaged from low oil.
