Tryin to overheat

Asked by GuruV67QP Sep 13, 2018 at 01:45 PM about the 2002 Dodge Durango SLT 4WD

Question type: General

After I drive for at least 20 mins stop and sit
somewhere for 10-30 mins and I start the car back
up it tries to over heat until I get a good distance
then it cools back down to normal temp . What
could be causing that

its an externail water pump its on the passanger side of the motor under the air box its $140 at autozone
