Extended warranty on a salvaged title
I recently learned of an expensive repair that is covered by my extended warranty. But I
read the fine text of my warranty and learned that the car was never covered because
it is a salvage title. The damage that lead to it being ‘totaled’ was from a broken door
and airbags, there was no structural or engine damage. The repairs weren’t even more
expensive than the value of the car. When I was sold the warranty, I was never asked
about accident history, only how well the car drives. What should I do? Should I still try
to be reimbursed by the warranty? Should I cancel the warranty?
