how to diagnose a bad lifter on a dodge 2.4 litre engine

I hear a ticking noise and suspect a stuck lifter. How do I know for sure that is the
problem and then how to know which lifter?

It's could be a cam or valve problem. T don't think there are lifters in that engine.
