hi I have a 2003 dodge neon when i trun the knob for the air to blw out from the dash on the windshild it truns back whats worng?

the knob that you trun so that the air can blow out of the vents or floor well
when i turn the knob to have the air to blow out on top of the dash onto the
windshilld when i let go of it it turns back almost back center what could be the
problem?

you need to replace that control unit behind the knob. did you have a radio put in or any work done in that area? they go bad and the spring that holds it in place is prob broke. check junk yards or ebay
