2012 4Runner with ground effects kit

Asked by GuruZK5CL Nov 14, 2017 at 11:43 AM about the 2012 Toyota 4Runner SR5

Question type: Car Customization

We just purchased a 2012 4runner sr5, we
live on a gravel road and would like to put
mud flaps on it. We took it to a Toyota
dealer who was unable to install the flaps
due to a ground effects kit that was on the
vehicle. He said Toyota, weather tech and
whatever other company they deal with
don’t have any either. He also said it
wouldn’t look nice to take the kit off? He
said it would look like something is
missing. Are there any brands of mud flap
that work in this situation?

Thanks!

Just take the boy racer kit off unless it is a factory trim. Post a photo or two.

That looks factory. Just buy some plain, flat, generic rubber flaps at your local auto parts store and install them. You probably will have to remove a tire to screw on the mud flaps.
